Description:
LPS Plantation Drive: 8th August 2023 Today, on the 8th of August 2023, the teaching fraternity, principal, and support staff of LPS participated in a remarkable plantation drive aimed at contributing to environmental conservation and enhancing the natural beauty of the town. They chose areas such as Hanumangadhi, the hairpin bend, and the Cheel Chakkar bend along the Nainital-Haldwani Road for this purpose. This event was a part of the school's ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement. The enthusiastic participants led to the successful planting of over 60 saplings across the designated areas. The team displayed dedication and determination by selecting challenging terrains, such as difficult climbs and barren patches, to plant a variety of tree species, including Pine, Oak, Deodar, Surai, etc. Prior to embarking on the plantation drive, LPS organized a Parent Open House, providing parents with the opportunity to engage with teachers and gain insights into their child's educational journey. Following the Parent Open House, the dedicated group of teachers and staff members embarked on a 5-6 km journey to the targeted plantation sites. Upon successfully completing the plantation drive, the team of teachers and staff members rewarded themselves with a well-deserved break. They enjoyed a rejuvenating cup of tea and delectable snacks at a local food van. This post-plantation celebration allowed participants to bond and reflect on the day's accomplishments. This initiative not only contributes to the local ecosystem's health but also sets an inspiring example for students and the wider community to follow.
