All human beings have been blessed with the gift of learning, but the willingness to learn is a choice. Today, as I speak, I speak with an experience of a life that has seen the mistakes, failures, victories, and acts of courage, over the past seventy six years. With this experience, I can tell you with confidence that willingness to learn has been the largest contributor to my growth. Learning is that catalyst that shapes our thoughts and guides our actions.

The field of education has undergone a major change over the last couple of decades. Today, we have multiple avenues for learning, thanks to advancement in technology. You must use the technology at your disposal today to develop yourselves and become well-rounded citizens that can contribute to progress in society. Like always, I encourage you to be ambitious, to think differently and most importantly to act on your dreams. These years of your life are most crucial and this is when you build the foundation for your life. Every day and every year brings new possibilities. Chances of learning, success and discoveries are abundant and right before you. You may not succeed all at once, and even if you fail, don’t give up but use that failure as an opportunity to learn from your mistakes.

Dream big and find ways you can contribute to betterment of the world around you. Use all the resources you have at your disposal to learn and gain knowledge, and to achieve your dreams. In LPS we aim towards over-all development of students by encouraging creativity, focusing on participation in extra-curricular activities and delivering course work using smart technology. The purpose of smart class is to encourage new and better ways of understanding through interactive classes. Beside several activities, the School organizes “Abhivyakti” where emphasis is given to generate appetite to ‘wanting to create something.’

Over the past few years, our LPS students have won several awards in various cultural and sports activities organized by different schools and organizations. It brings me great pride to see you compete and succeed in inter-school platform. My heartiest congratulations to all of you!

I also congratulate the entire LPS family for being awarded the Number 1 CBSE School of Nainital and also the top day cum boarding school for Holistic Development and Most Innovative School in Uttarakhand. It is due to all the efforts of our students, staff and parents that we have achieved this recognition. I hope we continue to make these efforts in the future.
